Product Information

These switches feature advanced capabilities such as access control lists (ACL), 802.1x port authentication, enhanced Quality of Service (QoS), rate limiting, and IGMP snooping, providing small and medium-sized businesses with a scalable and reliable network solution designed for growth. With 24 or 48 10/100/1000 Mbps ports and two or four combination copper/hot-swappable small form-factor pluggable (SFP) Gigabit ports for optional fiber connectivity, these switches ensure superior performance to meet expanding network needs in business networks, classrooms, and workgroups. Their non-blocking wire-speed architecture offers switching capacities of 48 Gbps or 96 Gbps for maximum data throughput.

Additionally, all 24 and 48 RJ-45 ports automatically negotiate to the highest speed and support Auto Uplink™ technology to establish optimal connections.

Full-featured, Flexible Power over Ethernet (PoE)
The GS724TP has a total power budget of 192 Watts, while the GS748TP offers 384 Watts, allowing customers to connect up to 48 802.3af IP-based devices. Power over Ethernet (PoE) optimizes the installation and management of network devices like wireless access points (AP), Voice over IP (VoIP) phones, and IP-based surveillance cameras, significantly reducing installation time and costs. By using standard Cat 5 cables, businesses can free their wireless AP deployments and IP cameras from the limitations of power outlet proximity. Furthermore, enabling an uninterruptible power supply for all PoE devices is simple by powering the switch from a UPS device.
